More than half of the players want to see Quebec City land a team before Winnipeg. The capital of Quebec always was a popular place to visit for players when the Nordiques were in the league because of its fine dining and club scene.

But Quebec City doesn't have a building and Winnipeg does. This will be an ongoing story for the NHL.

Questions for the poll were written by Hockey Night in Canada and the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA). The questions were circulated to players by the NHLPA. The responses were compiled by staff members of the NHLPA and forwarded to Hockey Night in Canada. 318 players responded to the questionnaire.
