The 47-year-old Shaw has been an assistant coach with the St. Blues for the past six seasons ... He was a mid-season replacement for Steve Sterling with the New York Islanders in 2005-06 and went 18-18-4 ... Interestingly, Shaw and Bylsma were assistant coaches on that Islanders staff ... Before his NHL career, Shaw won a Memorial Cup with the 1983-84 Ottawa 67's.
